The following construction projects are in effect: bridge work between 0.50 mile east and 2 miles east of Junction Montana 85 and Montana Secondary 291-Belgrade-Exit 298 including a detour, reduced speed, and a road closure (travelers can expect single lane closures, a pilot car in use, and single lane traffic) and bridge work between 1.25 miles west of Junction Montana Secondary 412-Bozeman-Exit 305 and Junction US 191 South-Bozeman-Exit 309 including reduced speed limited to 45 MPH (travelers can expect single lane closures and single lane traffic).


Rest areas along this highway segment are: open westbound at 1.75 miles east of Homestake Pass-Exit 233 (services available include truck parking) and open eastbound at 1.75 miles east of Homestake Pass-Exit 233 (services available include truck parking).
